Job Title: Abacus and Vedic Math Teacher Part Time
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team as an Abacus and Vedic Mathematics Instructor. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of these subjects, a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, and the ability to engage young learners in a fun and interactive manner.
As an Abacus and Vedic Math teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ mental math abilities, enhancing their critical thinking, and fostering a lifelong love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Abacus and Vedic Mathematics to students of various age groups (typically children aged 5-15).
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to teach mathematical concepts using Abacus and Vedic methods.
- Create a positive, supportive, and interactive classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Provide personalized attention to students who need additional help or challenges.
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence in students.
- Maintain class records, student attendance, and progress reports.
- Participate in teacher training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching methods and subject knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Certification or training in Abacus and Vedic Math is preferred (or willingness to undergo training).
- Previous teaching experience, especially in Abacus, Vedic Math, or related subjects, is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make learning engaging, fun, and interactive.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children.
- Fluent in English.
