You know AI is not a shortcut for lazy output. It is leverage. You use it to move faster, test more formats, generate visual directions, clean up workflows, and ship videos that do not look like they came out of a template factory.
You understand pacing. You understand hooks. You know the first 3 seconds decide whether a video lives or dies. You can take a raw take from X, LinkedIn, a creator clip, or a news story and turn it into a tight, watchable, platform-native video.

AM:PM is a VC-backed news platform built for short-form video, reels, and fast threads, for Gen Z and millennials who want to stay informed without sitting through a panel of five people agreeing with each other for 40 minutes. AM:PM is a video-first news platform, and speed matters. The right story needs the right format before the internet moves on. This role exists to use AI, editing instincts, and platform taste to turn news, opinions, creator takes, and editorial ideas into videos that feel fast, sharp, and native to the feed.
What you will own
- Create short-form videos using AI tools, editing tools, creator takes, news stories, and editorial inputs
- Turn raw ideas, scripts, links, tweets, posts, and references into clear video outputs
- Build AI-assisted editing workflows for faster scripting, visuals, captions, voice, motion, and production
- Edit for hooks, pacing, retention, clarity, and platform-native storytelling
- Work with the editorial and content teams to convert news stories into reels, explainers, and social-first videos
- Test AI video tools, templates, formats, visual styles, and workflows that can improve speed and output quality
- Ship videos fast without making them feel generic, lazy, or obviously AI-made
Who you are
- 1+ years of experience in video editing, AI video creation, content production, motion, or short-form video
- You have used AI tools to create real video output, not just experimented once for fun
- You understand hooks, pacing, captions, retention, and why people stop scrolling
- You are fast, resourceful, internet-native, and uncomfortable with boring video formats
- Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate within commutable distance
