Emergency Response Centre Physician (ERCP)
Project: 108 Emergency Ambulance Service
Job Summary
The Emergency Response Centre Physician (ERCP) provides clinical leadership, real-time medical direction and quality oversight for the 108 Ambulance Service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Oversight & Emergency Support
· Provide real-time medical guidance to EMTs and ambulance crews during emergencies.
· Conduct telephonic medical assessment and triage of emergency calls.
· Offer pre-arrival instructions to callers when required.
· Guide stabilization procedures and advanced life-saving interventions.
· Advise on appropriate hospital referral based on patient condition.
· Support handling of critical and mass casualty incidents.
2. Coordination & Communication
· Coordinate with Emergency Response Officers (EROs), dispatch team, EMTs, hospitals, and allied emergency services.
· Ensure smooth communication between field teams and receiving hospitals.
· Escalate complex clinical cases as per protocol.
3. Documentation & Quality Assurance
· Maintain accurate records of medical advice and clinical decisions.
· Ensure adherence to state and national emergency care protocols.
· Participate in clinical audits and case reviews.
· Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
4. Training & Capacity Building Support
· Provide clinical training and refresher sessions for EMTs and ERC staff.
· Conduct case review discussions and clinical debriefings.
· Support induction training for newly recruited EMTs and medical staff.
· Assist in developing and updating emergency care training modules and SOPs.
· Mentor EMTs to improve clinical competencies and decision-making skills.
· Identify training gaps and recommend skill enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications
· MBBS (Mandatory) (Freshers can also apply)
· Valid Medical Council Registration
Salary
· 45,000 to 60,000 per month
SALARY NEGOTIABLE AS PER EXPERIENCE
