Role Overview
Ensures effective planning, scheduling, and execution of projects within an industrial setting such as chemical plants or heavy manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling
-
Develop detailed project plans/methodologies, including milestones, dependencies, and critical-path analysis
- Create integrated master schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, updating weekly/monthly and tracking progress vs. baselines .

Resource & Budget Management
-
Allocate and forecast resources (personnel, equipment, materials) across active and upcoming projects .

Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cost variances; support cost control with S-curve updates and financial reporting
- Coordination & Stakeholder Communication

Interface among engineering, procurement, production, maintenance, and external subcontractors ensuring alignment on scope and timelines
- Organize kickoff, weekly, and monthly meetings; track and report on actions, decisions, and risks .

Progress Tracking & Reporting

Maintain daily/weekly progress logs, project dashboards, and variance reports; run earned value and “what-if” analyses
- Prepare and distribute status updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Risk & Change Management

Identify risks, maintain risk registers, and recommend mitigation strategies .

Log and manage change requests, adjust schedules, and assess impact on scope, timeline, and budget .

Quality, Compliance & Safety

Ensure deliverables adhere to quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Coordinate inspections, compliance checks, and site visits with relevant teams .

Documentation & Record Keeping

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, contracts, meeting minutes, and lessons-learned logs

Maintain organized project documentation within site or ERP systems.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field; PMP/CAPM, Prince2, or scheduling tool certifications (e.g., P6/MS Project) preferred.

5–7+ years’ experience in planning/coordinator roles within industrial, oil & gas, construction, or chemical plant settings.

Proficient in planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and MS Office (Excel, Word).

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines .

Familiarity with technical drawing review, engineering deliverables, site coordination, and safety procedures
