An advertising account planner champions the consumer's voice. They synthesize market research, cultural trends, and consumer behavior to define campaign goals, target audiences, and core messaging
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer Insights: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research—such as focus groups, surveys, and ethnographies—to understand consumer motivations and purchase paths
Market Analysis: Monitor socio-cultural trends and analyze competitor data to identify gaps and opportunities in the market
Strategic Direction: Establish the overarching communication strategy and determine the "Four Ms": Market, Motivation, Message, and Media.
Creative Briefing: Translate complex data and consumer truths into a clear, single-minded creative brief to inspire the creative department
Campaign Evaluation: Monitor and measure the effectiveness of campaigns using sales data and consumer feedback, adjusting strategies as needed.
Client Presentation: Present strategic rationale, research findings, and campaign pitches directly to clients alongside the account management team.
