Position Summary:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures assuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the HS&E program and coordinate implementation.
- Observe, monitor and analyze existing operating and/or HS&E procedures to determine compliance to standards and inform departments of relevant regulatory and company HS&E related performance requirements.
- Administer the development and presentation of safety and environmental training programs and conduct associated training in accordance with all statutory and company HS&E requirements.
- Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of HS&E related training records.
- Supervises the administration of accident reporting and investigation, accident prevention programs, preparation of reports and record keeping.
- Facilitate medical treatment and post-accident drug screens.
- Conducts studies and analysis of accidents, inter-company reporting assignments and related recordkeeping
- Expedite removal and correction of safety hazards.
- Develop and coordinate hazardous materials handling, disposal, waste minimization and recycling activities.
- Emergency evacuation planning and implementation for company personnel and facility.
- Maintain records required for customer information.
- Carry out orientation and briefing Program for all the Employees regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Conduct HSE audits of the facility on a regular basis.
- Recordkeeping of medical checkup & taking monthly stock of PPE’s.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completion of health, safety and environmental tasks and audits as assigned.
- To provide assistance in accomplishment of consultation goals and objectives.
- Assist in the development of HS&E goals and objectives and provide technical reporting on performance measurements.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Person Specifications:
PROFILE:
Diploma in Industrial Safety
- Should have min 5-7 yrs exp in HSE department of manufacturing companies. preferably in the Crane Manufacturing or Engineering Industry
- Should have knowledge of accident prevention, root cause analysis, loss control, industrial hygiene, auditing and HS&E management practices
- Strong Problem identification skills.
- Certification in Safety Management
Proficiency in the use of common software packages including Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Power Point.
Working Knowledge of ERP Software is Good to have.
