Job Summary
The BDS Doctor is responsible for providing high-quality dental care, diagnosing and treating oral health conditions, educating patients on preventive dental care, and maintaining accurate patient records while following the hospital's clinical protocols and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients and diagnose dental and oral health problems.
- Perform routine dental procedures such as scaling, fillings, extractions, root canal treatment (where applicable), crown preparation, and preventive treatments.
- Develop and explain treatment plans to patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
- Take and interpret dental X-rays.
- Prescribe medications when required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols are followed.
- Assist senior consultants during complex dental procedures when required.
- Coordinate with specialists for multidisciplinary cases.
- Achieve patient satisfaction through quality treatment and professional communication.
- Participate in hospital meetings, training sessions, and community dental health programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Dental Council registration.
- Freshers or experienced candidates may apply.
Skills Required
