We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager to lead and optimize our procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with organizational requirements.
- Develop procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely purchasing.
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
- Lead price negotiations, contract finalization, and long-term vendor agreements.
- Approve purchase orders (POs), verify invoices, and monitor payment cycles.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by coordinating closely with warehouse and store departments.
- Resolve vendor issues, delivery delays, or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts, Logistics, Projects, Store, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor procurement budgets and implement cost-control measures.
- Review market trends, pricing shifts, and supplier performance for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, vendor evaluations, and risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4-8 years of experience in procurement or purchase management, preferably in government supply or project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, procurement processes, and compliance norms.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and experience with ERP software.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-value purchases, multitask, and manage time-sensitive procurements.
