Job Summary
The Resort Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance. The role manages all operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Recreation, and Guest Services, while driving occupancy, revenue growth, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall day-to-day operations of the resort to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering superior hospitality and personalized service.
- Oversee the performance of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Maintenance, Security, and Recreation departments.
- Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and service standards to maintain brand consistency.
- Monitor occupancy levels, ADR, RevPAR, and overall revenue performance to maximize profitability.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, departmental expenses, and cost control initiatives.
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, packages, and occupancy growth plans.
- Handle VIP guests, guest complaints, and service recovery to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, fire safety, statutory regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Monitor preventive maintenance programs to ensure all facilities and equipment remain in excellent condition.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate department heads and resort staff.
- Build strong relationships with vendors, local authorities, travel partners, and corporate clients.
- Review operational reports, financial statements, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Hospitality Management or Operations Management is preferred.
- 4–7 years of experience in hotel or resort operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of resort management, guest relations, revenue management, budgeting, and hospitality operations.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), Channel Managers, POS systems, and MS Office.
