Muniya Foundation is committed to empowering women and girls through education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities. Our Skill Centre provides practical vocational training to help beneficiaries become financially independent.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct stitching and tailoring classes for women and girls.
Teach basic to advanced sewing techniques, including garment cutting, stitching, alterations, and finishing.
Prepare lesson plans and practical training schedules.
Demonstrate the safe and proper use of sewing machines and tailoring tools.
Maintain attendance records and monitor trainees' progress.
Encourage creativity and entrepreneurship among trainees.
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of training equipment and the classroom.
Assist trainees in developing products suitable for exhibitions, sales, or self-employment.
Support the Foundation during workshops, awareness campaigns, and community outreach programmes.
Submit periodic progress reports to the Skill Centre Coordinator.
Eligibility
Certificate or Diploma in Tailoring/Fashion Designing or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1–2 years of stitching or tailoring experience (training experience preferred).
Good communication and teaching skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with women from diverse backgrounds.
Basic record-keeping skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of boutique stitching and garment finishing.
Ability to train beginners as well as advanced learners.
Familiarity with embroidery, fabric cutting, and measurement techniques.
Entrepreneurial knowledge to guide trainees in starting home-based tailoring businesses.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
