Job Description – Accounts Officer
The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely monthly reporting, supporting statutory compliance, coordinating audit activities, and assisting in improving accounting processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate and timely monthly closing and reporting of accounts.
- Assist in managing statutory compliance requirements relating to direct and indirect taxation.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors to support the annual finalisation of accounts.
- Prepare and submit monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports and other financial statements within the stipulated timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all business transactions, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with the electronic filing of statutory returns and related assessments.
- Ensure routine compliance with GST, TDS, Provident Fund, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Assist in resolving routine and case-specific matters relating to GST and other statutory regulations.
- Monitor and interpret updates to GST laws and regulations and communicate their potential impact on the organisation.
- Support GST planning, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance activities.
- Review financial information and prepare analyses to support management decision-making.
- Participate in process-automation initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
- Recommend improvements to existing accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintain complete supporting documentation and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Pay: ₹11,261.80 - ₹37,918.53 per month
