Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the hotel's financial records, ensuring accurate accounting, maintaining statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledgers.
- Record daily financial transactions and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, and ledger balances.
Accounts Payable
- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
- Process vendor payments within agreed payment terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare guest, corporate, and event invoices.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
Cash & Bank Management
- Perform daily cash reconciliation.
- Monitor petty cash and cash float.
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
Budgeting & Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Generate daily revenue reports and management reports.
- Analyze income, expenses, and departmental costs.
- Support management with financial analysis and recommendations.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Maintain records required for statutory and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Verify inventory reports from stores and departments.
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and operating expenses.
- Participate in stock verification and cost analysis.
- Assist in minimizing financial losses through effective cost control.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Assist internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and financial controls.
- Identify and report financial irregularities.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Organize accounting files and financial records.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and government authorities.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally, IDS, SAP, Opera PMS, or other hotel accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require working during month-end and year-end closing periods.
Close coordination with all hotel departments, including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Purchase, Stores.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
