Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Executive to join our Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks accounting software.
You will work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Maintain and update supplier records
- Process credit applications and manage digital filing systems
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing, superannuation, and BAS reporting
- Handle retention invoice payments and other accounting tasks as required
- Handle customer relationships and manage communications regarding overdue invoices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred)
- 1–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Australian & New Zealand accounting standards, GST, BAS, and payroll compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
- Excellent written and spoken English
