Job Title: CMM Inspector
Department: Quality
Location: Coimbatore
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of components using CMM machines.
- Operate and handle Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) effectively.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Identify defects and non-conforming components.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure components meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Follow quality procedures, SOPs, and safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspection results.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of CMM inspection and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience in using measuring instruments and gauges.
- Basic knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
