An Assistant Manager of Finance and Accounts in a hotel oversees daily financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and auditing. They ensure compliance with financial regulations, assist in budget preparation, and prepare month-end closing reports to support hotel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue and Income Audit: Verify daily transactions from various departments (F&B, rooms, banquet) using property management software (PMS) to ensure accurate revenue posting.
- Credit & Accounts Receivable: Manage corporate billing, resolve guest billing disputes, monitor credit lines, and follow up on delinquent accounts.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee vendor invoice processing, verify purchase orders, and execute timely vendor payments.
- Month-End Closing: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and track financial variances against the monthly budget.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to tax obligations (e.g., GST, TDS) and assist internal, statutory, and tax auditors.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular Management Information System (MIS) reports to help department heads manage their costs and budgets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, or professional certifications like CA (Inter), ACCA, CPA, or MBA (Finance).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in the hospitality industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Tally, or Sun Finance), as well as hospitality PMS platforms like Opera.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
