Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Software Quality Tester with 2–3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications by designing, executing, and documenting test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with developers and project teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Conduct Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure product quality.
- Participate in requirement review meetings and provide quality-related feedback.
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation, reports, and release sign-off documents.
- Ensure applications meet usability, performance, and quality standards.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance software quality and testing efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Manual Testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Ability to write clear and effective test cases and test scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools is an added advantage.
- Experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, B.Tech, M.Tech, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
