About Feline Media Feline Media is a media and production company led by Sarthak Goswami, creating news, satire, explainers and other digital video content. Our aim is to make complex topics accessible, engaging and entertaining for a young digital audience. About the Role We are looking for a Script Writer who has hands-on experience writing scripts specifically for YouTube or digital video content.
The ideal candidate should understand that a YouTube script is different from a traditional article or blog. You should know how to build a strong hook, narrative, pacing and storytelling structure that keeps viewers engaged throughout the video.
Key Responsibilities
Write engaging and well-structured YouTube video scripts.
Research topics and turn information into compelling narratives.
Develop strong hooks and openings that capture viewer attention.Structure scripts with a clear beginning, build-up and payoff.
Write in a conversational, natural and audience-friendly style.
Simplify complex topics without compromising accuracy.
Follow current affairs, politics, social issues, culture, internet trends and news to identify potential stories and angles.
Fact-check information, statistics, names, dates and claims before finalising scripts.
Work closely with the content team to develop ideas, angles and storylines.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure scripts are visual and production-friendly. Research supporting material, references, examples and visuals where required. Meet deadlines and manage multiple scripts/projects when required.
Must-Have
1–3 years of professional experience in YouTube scriptwriting or digital video content.
Previous experience writing actual YouTube scripts is mandatory.
Strong storytelling and research skills.
Understanding of YouTube audience retention, hooks, pacing and narrative structure. -Ability to write conversational and engaging scripts rather than article-style content. Good understanding of Hindi/Hinglish is preferred.
Strong interest in current affairs, politics, social issues and popular culture. Ability to conduct independent research and fact-check information.
A portfolio containing previous YouTube scripts or links to videos you have scripted. What to Share While Applying
