We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Stores Incharge to take full ownership of our cafe’s inventory, storage, and supply chain management. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving goods, managing stock levels, ensuring optimal storage conditions for perishable items, and handling vendor coordination.
Your primary goal is to minimize waste, prevent stockouts of critical menu items (like specialty coffee beans and dairy), and maintain an immaculate, systematic storage facility that supports our kitchen and barista teams seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of all incoming and outgoing stock using our inventory management system.
- Implement strict FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) practices to ensure stock rotation and minimize food spoilage.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock counts and reconcile them against system data to identify and investigate variances.
- Establish and monitor reorder levels (par levels) for all items, ensuring timely replenishment without overstocking.
Receiving, Inspection & Storage
- Inspect all incoming deliveries for quality, correct quantities, weight, and proper packaging against purchase orders and delivery chalans.
- Reject substandard goods (e.g., damaged packaging, bruised produce, or incorrect temperatures for chilled items) and document discrepancies.
- Oversee the proper storage of goods, ensuring that dry storage, chillers, and deep freezers are organized, labeled, and maintained at required food-safety temperatures.
- Maintain strict cleanliness, hygiene, and pest control protocols within all storage rooms and walk-in coolers.
Vendor Coordination & Procurement Support
- Coordinate with approved suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules, lead times, and returns of damaged goods.
- Generate purchase requisitions based on cafe demand, seasonal menu updates, and current stock levels.
- Verify vendor invoices against received goods and forward accurate paperwork to the finance/accounts department for processing.
Internal Issuing & Waste Tracking
- Issue ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies to the kitchen and barista teams based on authorized internal indents.
- Maintain a detailed daily wastage log (expired items, damaged goods, or trimmings) and report insights to management to help optimize food costs.
Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
