Key Responsibilities
- Procedure Support: Assist gastroenterologists and surgeons during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Equipment Care: Handle the preparation, sterilization (reprocessing), and maintenance of endoscopes and ancillary equipment.
- Patient Safety: Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Specimen Handling: Assist in the collection and labeling of biopsies and other specimens.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in an Endoscopy unit or Operation Theater (OT) setting.
- Certification: Diploma or Degree in Endoscopy Technology or a related paramedical field.
- Skills: Strong understanding of infection control protocols and high-level disinfection (HLD).
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
