Job Summary
The Social Media Manager/Head is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the school's social media presence to strengthen its brand image, increase admissions enquiries, engage parents and the community, and showcase the school's academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular achievements. The role involves creating compelling digital content, managing campaigns, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring all communication aligns with the school's vision and values.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the school's branding and admission goals.
- Create monthly and annual content calendars for all social media platforms.
- Plan campaigns for admissions, school events, achievements, festivals, and awareness initiatives.
- Stay updated on social media trends and recommend innovative ideas to enhance the school's digital presence.
Content Creation & Management
- Develop engaging content, including posts, reels, videos, stories, graphics, and blogs.
- Capture and highlight classroom activities, celebrations, competitions, educational initiatives, student achievements, and teacher accomplishments.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to gather content.
- Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and communication across all platforms.
School Branding & Admissions
- Design and execute social media campaigns to support student admissions.
- Promote the school's academic excellence, infrastructure, faculty, and unique programs.
- Showcase testimonials from students, parents, alumni, and staff.
- Build awareness of the school's achievements and community initiatives.
Community Engagement
- Manage the school's social media accounts and respond to comments, messages, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Encourage engagement with parents, students, alumni, and the wider community.
- Monitor online feedback and maintain the school's positive digital reputation.
Event Coverage
- Plan and execute live coverage of school events, annual functions, sports days, exhibitions, competitions, educational trips, and celebrations.
- Coordinate photography and videography for school activities.
- Publish timely updates and post-event highlights.
Digital Marketing
- Plan and manage paid campaigns for admissions and school events.
- Coordinate with the admissions and marketing teams to generate quality enquiries.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimize for better results.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track key social media metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, and admissions enquiries.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor competitor schools and identify best practices.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Principal, Heads of Department, teachers, admissions team, and event coordinators.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and external agencies when required.
- Guide junior social media executives or content creators, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Marketing is preferred.
Experience
Social Media Manager
- 4–6 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, branding, or communications, preferably in the education sector.
Social Media Head
- 7–10+ years of experience in digital marketing or communications, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and algorithms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative storytelling and content planning abilities.
- Photography and videography coordination skills.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media scheduling tools.
- Basic graphic design knowledge (Canva/Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- Knowledge of digital advertising and lead generation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple campaigns.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the school's salary structure.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Availability to cover school events, annual functions, and occasional weekend activities.
- Travel between school branches, if required.
