Position Title: English & Soft Skills Trainer Department: Learning & Development / Training Position Type: Full-Time / Contract Reports To: L&D Manager / Training Head / HR Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced English & Soft Skills Trainer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing employees' English language proficiency, business communication, and professional soft skills to drive individual and organizational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
English Language Training
- Conduct spoken English and business English training sessions for employees at all levels
- Improve participants' grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency
- Train employees in formal and informal written communication — emails, reports, and presentations
- Conduct group discussions, debates, storytelling, and extempore sessions to build confidence
- Identify language gaps through assessments and design remedial programs accordingly
- Teach accent neutralization and voice modulation techniques
Soft Skills Training
- Design and deliver training on communication, interpersonal skills, and professional etiquette
- Facilitate sessions on leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, and decision-making
- Conduct workshops on time management, stress management, and emotional intelligence
- Train employees on presentation skills, interview techniques, and public speaking
- Deliver customer service, telephone etiquette, and cross-cultural communication training
- Coach individuals and groups on body language, confidence building, and positive attitude
Content Development
- Develop engaging training content, lesson plans, activities, role plays, and case studies
- Create e-learning modules, worksheets, and assessment tools
- Customize training modules based on department-specific and role-specific needs
- Regularly update course materials to stay current with industry requirements
Assessment & Reporting
- Conduct pre and post training assessments to measure language and skill improvement
- Maintain training records, attendance, and progress reports
- Analyze training effectiveness using feedback and performance data
- Present training reports and insights to HR and management
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Mass Communication, Education, or any related field
- Master's Degree in English / Applied Linguistics / Education / MBA (HR) preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an English Trainer or Soft Skills Trainer
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and presentation tools
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in TEFL / TESOL / CELTA (Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language)
- Train the Trainer (TTT) certification
- Certification in NLP, DISC, MBTI, or Emotional Intelligence
- Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Cornerstone, etc.)
- Experience in corporate training, BPO, IT, or educational institutions
- Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning methodologies
