About the Role
Blue Monkfish LLC is building an AI-powered web application designed for small law firms in the United States. Our platform leverages Artificial Intelligence to automate client intake, legal document drafting, and client communication.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of the product from development to deployment. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about building scalable AI-powered applications and leading technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the complete web application (Frontend, Backend, and Database).
- Build responsive user interfaces using React.js or Next.js.
- Develop secure backend APIs using Node.js (Express) or Python (FastAPI/Flask).
- Integrate AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) for document drafting, intake summarization, and automated client communication.
- Implement user authentication, role-based access control, and Stripe payment integration.
- Create AI approval workflows before client-facing content is generated.
- Manage databases using PostgreSQL or MySQL with scalable architecture.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS, Vercel, or Render.
- Collaborate directly with the founder to deliver product milestones.
- Guide and mentor junior developers while maintaining high coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional Full Stack Development experience.
- Strong expertise in React.js or Next.js.
- Strong backend development using Node.js (Express) or Python (FastAPI/Flask).
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with Git/GitHub version control.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, Vercel, or Render.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of AI workflows, prompt engineering, or automation tools.
- Experience with SaaS product development.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring developers is preferred.
