Job Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) supports consultants and physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The PA is responsible for patient assessment, documentation, assisting in clinical procedures, coordinating investigations, monitoring admitted patients, educating patients and their families, and ensuring continuity of care under the supervision of a registered physician. Physician Assistants are trained to perform delegated diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care tasks within the scope of hospital policy.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Physician Assistant (Mandatory)
- Registration/Certification as applicable
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- ACLS Certification (Preferred for ICU/Emergency)
Experience
- Fresher or 0–2 years of experience
- Experience in a multispecialty hospital is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Assist consultants during OPD consultations and ward rounds.
- Take patient history and perform preliminary physical assessments.
- Record vital signs and monitor patient condition.
- Prepare patients for examination and procedures.
- Assist doctors during minor procedures and emergency interventions.
- Collect blood samples and assist with specimen collection when required.
- Coordinate laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor admitted patients and promptly report any deterioration to the consultant.
- Assist in discharge planning and patient counseling.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Patient Care
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and attendants.
- Educate patients regarding medications, diet, and follow-up care.
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain confidentiality.
- Support infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
Documentation
- Prepare admission notes and progress notes.
- Update investigation reports.
- Maintain discharge summaries as directed by consultants.
- Ensure proper documentation for medico-legal compliance.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Billing, and other departments.
- Arrange referrals and specialist consultations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
