Job Summary
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital floor, ensuring smooth patient flow, maintaining service quality, coordinating with clinical and non-clinical departments, and addressing patient and attendant concerns. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient hospital operations and a positive patient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Supervise daily activities on assigned hospital floors.
- Ensure smooth admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Monitor patient flow and coordinate with departments to minimize delays.
- Ensure hospital policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures are followed.
Patient Care Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for patient and attendant concerns.
- Resolve complaints promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
- Conduct regular patient rounds to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and support staff to ensure quality patient care.
Staff Supervision
- Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, and performance of floor staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing and proper duty allocation.
- Guide and support nursing, housekeeping, security, and support staff in operational matters.
- Report staff-related issues to management and HR.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control practices are maintained.
- Monitor compliance with hospital accreditation standards and statutory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of patient care areas and common spaces.
- Report safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with departments such as Nursing, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security, Billing, and Pharmacy.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, attendants, medical staff, and management.
- Assist in emergency situations and ensure timely response from relevant departments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of incidents, complaints, and resolutions.
- Prepare daily operational reports and submit them to management.
- Monitor and report issues related to infrastructure, equipment, and patient services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Hospital Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital operations, patient relations, or healthcare administration.
- Experience in managing hospital floor operations is preferred.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per hour
