Primary Responsibilities of a Dishwasher
- Cleaning & Sanitizing: Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Kitchen Organization: Sorting, stacking, and storing clean dishes and utensils in appropriate areas.
- Maintenance: Maintaining clean, dry floors, and keeping the dish area organized and free of clutter.
- Sanitation & Safety: Following food safety protocols and maintaining clean trash cans.
- Waste Management: Emptying trash containers, including recycling and food waste.
- Support & Prep: Assisting with basic food preparation, receiving food deliveries, and aiding kitchen staff during busy shifts.
- Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining dishwashing machines, including reporting any malfunctions. Monster for Employers
- Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods, often for an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high temperatures and noise.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliability, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Key Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, walking, and standing.
- Working with cleaning chemicals and hot water.
- Often required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
