Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Airline industry, specifically in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) and Airport Operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze operational processes, gather requirements, and support the delivery of technology solutions that improve airline operations.
The candidate should possess a solid understanding of airline operational processes and be capable of translating business requirements into functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with airline business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and business objectives.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
- Analyze and support business processes related to:
o Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO)
o Line Maintenance
o Engineering & Technical Operations
o Airport Operations
o Ground Handling
o Turnaround Management
o Flight Operations Coordination
o Irregular Operations (IROPS)
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process flows.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, QA Teams, and Business Stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution.
- Assist in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in production support and business issue analysis.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Hands-on experience in the Airline domain.
- Strong knowledge of:
o MRO Operations
o Airport Operations
o Ground Operations
o Aircraft Maintenance Processes
o Operational Control Center (OCC) functions
- Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Passenger Service Systems (PSS).
- Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport.
- Experience with airline reservation, inventory, ticketing, and departure control systems.
- Prior experience with Navitaire is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with IATA standards and airline industry best practices.
- Exposure to airline digital transformation initiatives.
