Department: DRI (Sponge Iron) Division | Location: SRP, Ramgarh | Reports to: GM – DRI
Purpose: Deliver the daily kiln production plan at target quality and consumption norms through disciplined process control and shift supervision.
Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Sc. / Diploma / B.E. – Metallurgy
Experience: 12–15 years in a DRI plant covering operation, production and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Fix and control the daily charge mix against target metallisation.
- Monitor and correct kiln temperature profile, air distribution and retention time.
- Track accretion build-up and take corrective action before it forces a stoppage.
- Convert the monthly plan into shift-wise targets and ensure achievement.
- Monitor coal, ore and power consumption per tonne; explain deviation daily.
- Coordinate with the Lab on product sampling and act immediately on off-spec results.
- Plan preventive shutdowns with maintenance; hand over equipment safely under permit.
- Supervise Shift Incharges and operators; enforce SOPs, log discipline and PPE compliance.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
