Location: Hosur
Experience: 2 – 6 Years
Qualification: o Diploma / Any Graduate (preferably in manufacturing / automotive industry).
Key Requirements:
* Maintain inventory accuracy ≥ 98%.
* Zero stock-out of critical materials.
* Minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
* Ensure timely material issue to avoid production delays.
* Compliance with FIFO / FEFO and storage standards.
* Audit compliance with zero major non-conformities.
* Maintain proper documentation and system updates.
Job Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and store materials (raw materials, consumables, spares) as per procedures.
* Ensure proper material identification, storage, and preservation practices.
* Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/system and physical registers.
* Issue materials to production/maintenance as per authorized indents.
* Monitor stock levels and initiate re-order to avoid shortages.
* Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counting.
* Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices for material handling.
* Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in stores area.
* Coordinate with purchase, PPC, and production for smooth material flow.
* Maintain documentation for inward/outward materials and audit compliance.
Leadership & Team Management
* Good coordination and communication skills.
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Purchase, PPC, Production).
* Basic team handling capability (if applicable).
* Strong discipline and attention to detail.
Authorities
o Authority to receive, store, and issue materials as per system and procedures, and maintain inventory records to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
Specific Skills required for this role:
* Hands-on experience in consumable procurement in manufacturing setup.
* Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
* Understanding of industrial consumables (tools, lubricants, safety items, etc.).
* Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and ISO/IATF standards.
* Strong analytical and costing skills.
