Senior Accountant Location: Surat, Gujarat | Salary: ₹45,000 per month | Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and oversee accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong VAT/GST expertise and fluent English communication skills. Working Hours & Leave Job timings: 1:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Working days: Monday to Saturday (Saturday: 3 hours), Sunday off Leave: 18 annual leaves + UK holidays (Indian holidays not observed) Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and reports Manage VAT/GST calculations, filings, returns, and compliance Handle accounts payable and receivable Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff Coordinate with clients/vendors in clear, professional English Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / CMA preferred) 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience Strong working knowledge of VAT/GST regulations, filing, and compliance Fluent English — both written and verbal communication Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Zoho Books) Advanced MS Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities Preferred Skills Experience with multi-entity or international accounting Knowledge of TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance Ability to work independently and meet deadlines What We Offer Competitive salary of ₹45,000/month Professional growth opportunities Supportive work environment
