Job Description – Import Customer Service Executive (Sea Freight)

Location: Chembur (Near Govandi Station), Mumbai
Salary: As per Industry Standards
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Sea Import Freight Forwarding Customer Service
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end sea import customer service operations
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, CHA, transporters, and internal
teams
- Track import shipments and provide timely status updates to customers
- Prepare and verify import-related documents such as Arrival Notices, BL copies,
invoices, DO coordination, etc.
- Ensure accurate data entry in systems and timely documentation processing
- Resolve customer queries, shipment issues, and escalations professionally
- Coordinate with customs clearance and delivery teams for smooth cargo movement
- Maintain customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Sea Import Freight Forwarding Customer Service
- Good knowledge of import procedures, documentation, and shipping terms
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure situations
- Proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding systems
- Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving skills
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with shipping lines and overseas agents
- Knowledge of customs clearance process
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
