We are looking for a Application/Technical Engineer – Metrology to support our sales activities in India by ensuring efficient execution of the sales process and acting as a key operational link between Sales, Technical teams, and our global support functions.
The role focuses on supporting technical sales activities, managing RFQs and proposals, coordinating internal stakeholders, and ensuring reliable execution from opportunity qualification through order closure.
Working closely with Application Engineering, this position contributes to smooth sales execution while enabling technical teams to focus on their core expertise.
Support customer requirement analysis and solution framing in coordination with Sales and Application Engineering
Provide technical sales support up to solution framing level (in collaboration with Application Engineers and the Local Technical Leader)
Participate in technical presentations and basic solution demonstrations when required
Ensure alignment between customer needs, proposed solutions, and internal capabilities
Analyse RFQs received via procurement platforms or direct sales channels
Coordinate internal contributors (Sales, Application Engineering, Finance, HQ teams)
Consolidate scope, pricing inputs, timelines, and proposal documentation
Prepare and secure high‑quality, compliant techno‑commercial proposals
Support pre‑sales activities including AMC proposals and structured follow‑ups
Support opportunity tracking, pipeline updates, and forecast preparation in CRM tools
Ensure proper documentation of sales activities (quotations, purchase orders, licenses, internal validation flows)
Act as an operational coordination point between Sales, Application Engineers, Sales Administration, Finance, and Customers
Support smooth handover from sales opportunity to order execution
Act as a contact point for customers regarding technical or commercial clarifications during the sales process (non‑negotiation scope)
Support onboarding coordination, license activation follow‑up, and operational handover to delivery/support teams
Contribute to trusted and professional customer relationships
Contribute to the standardization of RFQ, proposal, and sales execution processes
Support CRM adoption, data accuracy, and reporting quality
Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to sales operations and coordination
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
2–6 years of hands-on experience in metrology software -related environments.
First experience sales support, sales operations is a nice to have or willing to grow into a technical sales support role
The role does not require deep expertise across all areas from day one. You will work closely with experienced Application Engineers for advanced technical topics.
Experience in metrology (software, CMM, laser scanners) is required,
but we are open to candidates at an early or intermediate stage in this field.
Deliver technical presentations, basic demos, and solution explanations to customers
Understand customer requirements and propose suitable inspection, metrology, or manufacturing solutions
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in complex sales processes
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
Fluent English (written and spoken)
