Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Steward / Senior Waiter to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of restaurant service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide junior service staff while ensuring a high standard of guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and attend to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and coordinate with the kitchen/bar team.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently according to restaurant standards.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for service.
- Handle guest requests, queries, and basic complaints professionally.
- Coordinate with the Captain, Supervisor, and kitchen team for smooth service.
- Guide and support junior stewards/waiters during operations.
- Ensure proper service sequence and maintain service quality.
- Check guest satisfaction and respond promptly to their requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the restaurant.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow restaurant SOPs, safety procedures, and food hygiene standards.
- Support the team during busy hours and special events.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Steward / Waiter / Senior Waiter in a restaurant or hotel.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-service oriented with a pleasant personality.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic knowledge of POS/order-taking systems will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Hindi / English / Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.
