About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS HANA Consultant who will be responsible for administration, maintenance, installation, upgrade, and performance tuning of SAP systems. The consultant will support SAP landscapes across ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other SAP components.
Candidates at senior/lead levels will handle architecture, complex migrations, cloud deployments, and team leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Perform installation, configuration, and administration of SAP Systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO, GRC, Solution Manager).
- Manage SAP HANA Database administration including installation, upgrades, replication, backups, and performance optimization.
- Execute SAP system refreshes, client copies, client transports, and support package/package stack updates.
- Maintain and monitor system health, including performance tuning, logs, dumps, and system errors.
- Configure and manage Transport Management System (TMS).
- Troubleshoot SAP BASIS and HANA-related issues across DEV, QA, and Production environments.
- Handle SAP User & Role Administration (if required).
- Perform Kernel upgrades, Add-on installations, SPAM/SAINT updates.
- Manage SAPRouter, Web Dispatcher, and Gateway configurations.
- Monitor job failures, interface issues, and deployed application performance.
- Prepare system documentation and SOPs.
Mid-Level (4–7 Years)
- Support daily BASIS operations and incident/problem management.
- Manage HANA DB tasks: backups, restores, monitoring, and performance checks.
- Support system refresh activities and landscape coordination.
- Participate in patching, performance tuning, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with functional and ABAP teams for issue resolution.
