About the role:
We are looking for a Lead Web Engineer who can do maintenance and implementation of new features of the 7NOW.com website at 7-Eleven, that is the official delivery marketplace.
· Design, build, and maintain features of 7NOW.com.
· Active collaboration and communication with a team in USA.
· Lead a team of frontend and backend engineers, conduct code reviews, define coding standards, define architecture, drive technical discussions.
· Manage a small team and develop backend services using Java, or Node.js, following microservices architecture principles.
· Create interactive web applications and features using NextJs with Typescript.
Educational & Required Qualifications:
· Must have 8+ years of experience building frontend applications using NextJs and React.js.
· Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with App Router, SSR/ISR/SSG and BFF Architecture.
· Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with SCSS and/or Tailwind CSS.
· Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with SEO optimization and Core Web Vitals.
· Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress)
· Experience with Java (Spring Boot, J2EE) and working knowledge of Node.js.
· Experience in creating and using REST and Graph QL APIs
· Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab or GitHub Actions and AWS (ECS Fargate, CloudFront, S3, Route 53, AppConfig, Secrets Manager, Redis)
· Strong understanding of observability, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting using tools like New Relic and CloudWatch.
· Good collaboration and communication across DevOps, QA, and product teams
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile development practices.
· Experience in mentoring juniors is preferred.
