QC Manager – Leather ProductsJob ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Product Inspection
- Conduct inline, pre-final, and final inspections of leather products, including handbags, wallets, belts, backpacks, luggage, and small leather goods.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, approved samples, workmanship standards, and AQL inspection requirements.
- Inspect leather quality, color consistency, grain, texture, stitching, edge painting, hardware, logo application, embossing, lining, and overall finishing.
- Verify measurements, functionality, durability, and packaging before shipment.
- Identify defects, prepare inspection reports, and work with factories on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Production & Factory Coordination
- Coordinate with factories during sampling, pilot production, and bulk production to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Monitor production progress and identify quality risks that may impact delivery schedules.
- Follow up on corrective actions and ensure quality issues are resolved before shipment approval.
Supplier & Quality Management
- Work closely with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Conduct factory audits and evaluate supplier quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, social compliance standards, and company quality procedures.
Customer Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters between customers, factories, and internal teams.
- Provide inspection updates, quality reports, and recommendations for shipment approval.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographs and defect analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, corrective actions, production status, and shipment approvals.
- Ensure all quality documentation, inspection reports, packing lists, invoices, and compliance documents are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance for leather products, handbags, wallets, belts, luggage, or fashion accessories.
- Strong knowledge of leather types, PU, microfiber, canvas, synthetic materials, hardware, trims, and production processes.
- Thorough understanding of AQL inspection standards and international quality requirements.
- Experience conducting inline, pre-shipment, and final random inspections.
- Ability to identify workmanship defects related to stitching, cutting, edge painting, hardware, embossing, printing, and finishing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple factories and production schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quality reporting.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel frequently to factories for inspections and quality audits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
