Role Overview
We are looking for a Food Scientist to develop innovative, nutritious, and high-quality food products across categories such as snacks, breakfast essentials, beverages, proteins, condiments, and ready-to-eat foods. You will work closely with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to bring products from concept to commercialization while ensuring exceptional taste, safety, and affordability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve food formulations with a focus on nutrition, taste, shelf life, and cost optimization.
- Conduct product research, ingredient evaluation, and benchmark competitor products.
- Work with manufacturing partners to scale recipes from lab to commercial production.
- Define product specifications, nutritional profiles, and ingredient standards.
- Lead product trials, sensory evaluations, stability studies, and shelf-life testing.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify high-quality ingredients and optimize formulations.
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to continuously improve existing products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in food product development or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, preservation techniques, and quality systems.
- Experience in product commercialization and manufacturing scale-up.
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food labeling, and food safety standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing health-focused or functional food products.
- Familiarity with nutritional analysis and clean-label formulations.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or private-label products.

Pay: ₹301,530.86 - ₹1,161,108.76 per year
