Purpose of the Role:
To effectively control and reduce the personal accidents and provide safe working environment to all employees for all group companies in accordance and in compliance with statutory requirements and Ensure Continual improvement in work place environment
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Plan and effectively implement Environmental Health and Safety Management System strategic goals.

Organize in association with the concerned departments/ campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure

Reduce Expenses-initiatives in EHS with low cost automation.
- Reduce consumable cost comparison to other industry

Improve Safety Culture and to Enhance Environmental protection

Ensure incorporation of any amendment in EHS management system both in document & legal systems to be fulfilled.

coordinating with unit functional safety officer to organize Safety Committee Committee Meeting as per statutory compliance and tracking closure of all suggestions.

Identification of Safety abnormalities with CFTs through Gemba walk and initiate corrective actions.

Render assistance on the maintenance of such records as are necessary relating to accidents, dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases

Prepare incident investigation report and share lesson to the concerned departments and to check results and replicate in other areas.

Conduct ergonomic study wherever required in order to eliminate the people fatigue.

Sensitize employees on Kiken Yochi (Hazard prediction) concepts.

Develop new OCP applicable to all units inline with ISO 45001 & 14001 management system

Validating and certify JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and HIRA(Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) for all projects/contract work.

Advise the purchasing and stores departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment as per standard.

Preparation and maintaining annual EHS budget for all units

Develop digital EHS management system for monitoring lead and lag indicators performance

To support Business Excellence Roadmap.

Design and conduct either independently or in collaboration with the training department, suitable training and educational programes for the prevention of personal injuries and for the propagation of safety awareness.
