Job Summary
The Transformer Dispatch Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the dispatch of transformers and related equipment to customers, project sites, and warehouses. The role ensures timely delivery, proper documentation, transportation coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for transformers and electrical equipment.
- Prepare dispatch schedules based on production completion and customer delivery requirements.
- Generate and maintain dispatch documentation, including delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, transport permits, and shipment records.
- Liaise with transporters, logistics providers, warehouses, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to internal teams and customers.
- Verify packaging, loading, and unloading activities to ensure safe transportation of transformers.
- Maintain dispatch registers, inventory records, and logistics reports.
- Resolve delivery-related issues, delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and sales departments for smooth dispatch operations.
- Track transportation costs and assist in logistics cost optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse operations, or transformer/manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of transportation documentation and dispatch procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
- Understanding of e-way bills, GST documentation, and logistics processes.
