About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP frameworks, database management, API integration, and team leadership. You will be responsible for developing scalable web applications, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring high-quality code standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP.
- Build scalable applications using Laravel, CodeIgniter, or other PHP frameworks.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and server-side logic.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers.
- Review code, maintain coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement security best practices and data protection measures.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and architecture discussions.
- Maintain technical documentation and version control.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP.
- Hands-on experience with Laravel and/or CodeIgniter.
- Proficiency in MySQL database design and optimization.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and API integrations.
- Experience with Git/GitHub version control.
- Understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
- Familiarity with Linux server environments and deployment.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/DigitalOcean) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of professional PHP development experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
