Role & Responsibilities
· Manage, monitor, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Wi-Fi infrastructure, internet connectivity, and VPN services to ensure high network availability, optimal performance, and minimal downtime across all business locations.
· Configure, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, endpoint security, and access control policies to safeguard organizational data and IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues involving routers, switches, wireless access points, servers, ISP connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and other networking components while ensuring timely issue resolution as per defined SLAs.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance activities, including firmware upgrades, software updates, security patch management, network backups, configuration reviews, and hardware health checks to maintain system reliability and business continuity.
· Design, implement, and optimize scalable network architectures for new office locations, branch connectivity, cloud integration, and remote access solutions, ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective network performance.
· Collaborate closely with System Administrators, Information Security, Helpdesk, Application Support, and external vendors/ISPs to resolve complex technical issues, execute IT infrastructure projects, and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
· Configure and manage network devices such as routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, wireless controllers, load balancers, and network monitoring tools to maintain a stable and high-performing enterprise network.
· Monitor network performance using network monitoring and analytics tools, proactively identify bottlenecks, bandwidth utilization, and potential failures, and implement corrective actions to improve overall network efficiency.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of network topology, IP addressing schemes, device configurations, SOPs, and change management records to support operational excellence and compliance requirements.
· Ensure network compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices while conducting periodic vulnerability assessments and supporting internal or external IT audits.
· Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecom vendors, and hardware suppliers for circuit provisioning, fault resolution, AMC management, warranty claims, and infrastructure upgrades.
· Provide technical guidance and Level 2/Level 3 support to the IT Helpdesk and end users, assisting with network-related incidents, connectivity issues, and implementation of new technologies to enhance organizational productivity.
Requirements
ü Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
ü Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
ü Strong knowledge of network protocols, devices, and architectures.
ü Experience with network security measures and troubleshooting techniques.
ü Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
