Job Overview: We are seeking a Head – Business Development to lead the organization’s revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across India and global markets. This leadership role will be responsible for defining the company’s business development vision, scaling multi-channel sales operations, and strengthening STEMpedia’s presence across institutional, government, and international ecosystems. The position requires a leader who can combine strategic market thinking with strong execution capabilities, build high-performing sales teams, and drive large-scale adoption of STEMpedia’s solutions across educational institutions, government initiatives, and partner networks.

Define and execute BD strategy for sustainable revenue growth across domestic and international markets.

Revenue Leadership & Market Expansion

Own and deliver revenue targets through scalable growth strategies and a robust CRM-driven pipeline.

Expand presence across institutional, government, CSR, B2B, and B2G channels at scale.

Oversee the complete sales lifecycle: pipeline development, forecasting, and analytics.

Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

Identify, negotiate, and establish long-term partnerships with EdTech distributors and international collaborators.

Build alliances with CSR bodies, philanthropic organisations, and impact investors.

Develop a structured partner ecosystem with clear value exchange and joint GTM plans.

Commercial Strategy & Deal Leadership

Lead complex commercial negotiations, proposal development, pricing, and contract structuring.

Ensure competitive positioning and successful deal closure across all channels and geographies.

Own budget planning, forecasting, and resource optimisation for the BD department.

Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment

Partner with Product, Education, Marketing, and Operations to align GTM strategies.

Translate market intelligence into actionable inputs for product and curriculum teams.

Industry Representation & Market Intelligence

Represent STEMpedia at key industry forums and global education events.

Monitor market trends, policy shifts, and evolving customer needs to inform BD strategy.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years of progressive experience in Business Development and Sales, including leadership responsibility for revenue growth and market expansion.

Demonstrated success in managing and scaling national and international sales operations, preferably within EdTech, STEM education, or technology-driven sectors.

Strong experience in developing partnerships with educational institutions, government bodies, enterprise clients, and ecosystem partners.

Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing sales teams across multiple geographies.

Strong commercial acumen with expertise in strategic negotiations, proposal development, and complex deal structuring.

Hands-on experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, forecasting, and performance management frameworks.
