About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Billing & Planning Engineer to join our infrastructure project team for a prestigious NHAI project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, progress monitoring, billing management, cost control, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely payments.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Quantity Verification
- Prepare client bills and contractor bills based on executed quantities and contractual provisions.
- Verify measurements, work progress, and supporting documents before bill submission.
- Coordinate with project and finance teams for bill certification and payment processing.
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain billing records, payment status, and reconciliation reports.
Project Planning & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera, MS Project, or similar planning software.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify potential delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams to update project status.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation for effective project execution.
Cost Control & Contract Management
- Monitor project costs and compare actual expenditures against budgets.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and highlight variances.
- Assist in preparing project claims, variation orders, and contract documentation.
- Support project management in forecasting project costs and cash flow requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain project records, billing documents, measurement sheets, and progress reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with NHAI standards, project requirements, and audit procedures.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors regarding billing and planning-related matters.
- Assist during project audits and documentation reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in billing, planning, and project coordination within infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on NHAI, highway, road, bridge, or large-scale infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of quantity estimation, BOQ management, and billing procedures.
- Familiarity with NHAI specifications, contractual procedures, and project documentation requirements.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- Primavera P6
- MS Project
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- ERP/Billing Management Systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, and cost tracking.
