Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and patient-centric Ophthalmologist to join our growing practice. This position offers a percentage-of-collections or percentage-of-production compensation structure, providing an exceptional earning potential for an entrepreneurial-minded physician who wants their compensation to reflect their hard work and efficiency. You will have immediate access to an established patient base, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and dedicated technician support to maximize your clinical throughput.
Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties
Because this is a percentage-based role, the physician's duties are heavily focused on maximizing patient flow and surgical volume while maintaining high-quality care:
- Clinical Care: Perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose visual system disorders, and manage chronic conditions (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy).
- Surgical Procedures: Perform high-volume ophthalmic surgeries (e.g., cataract extraction, premium IOL implantation, refractive/laser surgeries, or subspecialty procedures) in our affiliated ASC.
- Efficient Practice Management: Partner with assigned ophthalmic technicians and scribes to maintain an efficient patient schedule.
- Referral Network Cultivation: Actively engage with local optometrists and primary care physicians to build and maintain a strong referral pipeline, directly boosting personal production volume.
- Documentation & Billing Compliance: Complete accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation to ensure proper coding (ICD-10/CPT) and prevent collection delays.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
- Active and unrestricted state medical license and DEA registration.
- Excellent surgical dexterity and efficient clinical decision-making skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a "practice within a practice."
- Strong interpersonal skills to convert consultations into surgical cases and build patient loyalty.
Pay: ₹53,831.96 - ₹182,298.40 per month
