The Senior Data Engineer is part of the Data Management and Business Intelligence team and is responsible for making big data actionable by implementation and ongoing maintenance of LogicMonitor data warehouse and reporting tools. You will design, build, and oversee the deployment and operation of the technology used to manage, store, and utilize data from internal and external sources. The role will assists with user interface and business applications design and work with stakeholders to ensure database specifications, tables, and element attributes are accessible as required.
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions to support our broad profile of enthusiastic data consumers. You'll work closely with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and develop technical data solutions such as new data pipelines, models, and transformations.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
- Build and maintain data pipelines for processing data and empowering analytics at scale, utilizing Airflow and Snowflake
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate development of data products
- Transform raw data into cleaned, organized and actionable formats
- Troubleshoot data transformation and integration issues
- Drive design, management, and optimization of our data compute and storage infrastructure
- Lead the analysis and resolution of data security tasksCreate and maintain data architecture artifacts
What You'll Need:
- 4+ years experience in a Data Engineering role, with a focus on building data pipelines and models.
- 2+ years experience with Airflow, Snowflake, dbt cloud
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g. Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science) or equivalent experience
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python
- Experience optimizing database/query performance
- Proven track record of having implemented, enhanced and supported data warehouse systems and reporting tools
- Ability to work autonomously and lead medium to high complexity projects
Preferred, not required
- Domain analytical experience with Financial, Customer Success, or Human Resources data
- MLOps or AIOps
- Experience using FiveTran, Looker, PowerBI
