We seek a motivated and experienced Abroad Academic Counselor to join Edbe's Expert team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of experience in academic counseling, specifically focusing on students interested in studying abroad. The Abroad Academic Counselor will provide expert guidance to students who are seeking opportunities to pursue higher education abroad, assisting with university applications, visa processes, and other essential services to ensure a smooth transition to international education.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle qualified inbound & outbound leads (UK,Europe, Australia, etc.)
- Conduct high-conversion counselling sessions (call + in-person + video)
- Guide students on course, university & country selection
- Drive application, documentation & admission process
- Own revenue targets – not just enquiry handling
- Build trust with students + parents and close decisively
- Track pipeline using CRM and optimize follow-ups aggressively
- Coordinate with visa & documentation teams for faster closures
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in study abroad conversions (NOT just counselling)
- Strong understanding of UK /Europe / Australia admission process
- Ability to handle objections & close high-ticket decisions
- Experience working with parents (critical for Kerala market)
- High ownership mindset – no dependency culture
- Fluent in English + Malayalam/Hindi (based on region)
