We are looking for an reputed logistics company for the position
Business Development Manager – USA Trade Lane Development (Freight Forwarding)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & expand India - USA Sea freight forwarding business (Exports) Identify and onboard Customers and strategic partners in the USA
- Drive lead conversion into active shipments
- Negotiate commercial terms (freight rates, DO charges, FMC usage, handling, etc.)
- Handle client objections, especially around:Destination charges / Transit time /Pricing competitiveness
- Build and maintain long-term agent & client relationships
- Coordinate with pricing, operations, and documentation teams
- Track pipeline, conversions, and performance metrics
- Focus on volume growth in initial stages over margin optimisation.
Required Skills
- Strong sales closing and negotiation skills
- Excellent international business communication (email + calls + LinkedIn)
- Proven ability to convert cold leads into business
- Strong relationship-building skills with overseas agents
- Deep understanding of the freight forwarding sales cycle
- Ability to work independently and drive results
- Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management
Experience Required
- 4–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics Sales
- Hands-on exposure to: International trade lane (India – USA Only) ,Freight pricing & customer handling
Preferred Knowledge
- Understanding of: FMC regulations & HBL process (USA shipments), Import/export documentation ,Ocean freight operations
- Existing contacts with Exporters to the USA will be a strong advantage

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
