- Personal Care: Assist patients with basic hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom or bedpans.
- Patient Mobility: Help patients get out of bed, walk, or change positions to prevent bedsores.
- Nutrition: Assist with serving meals, feeding patients who cannot eat on their own, and providing hydration.
- Transportation: Safely move patients via wheelchairs, gurneys, or beds to other hospital departments for tests or procedures.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track and record basic vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature) and immediately alert nurses to any changes in a patient's condition.
- Room Maintenance: Tidy patient rooms, change bed linens, and restock supplies.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and comfort to patients to help reduce their anxiety.
