Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on, and result-oriented Production Engineer to supervise and optimize day-to-day manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Engineering and possess 2 years of shop-floor experience, ensuring production targets are met on time while maintaining optimal resource utilization, worker safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution: Execute daily production schedules based on targets, allocating manpower and machinery (including CNC/VMC and manual machines) effectively.
- Shop-Floor Supervision: Oversee daily floor operations, monitor line efficiency, and ensure operators adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assembly & Machining Oversight: Monitor critical stages of machining, component assembly, and testing lines to ensure steady output and minimal downtime.
- Material & Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with the stores and procurement teams to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, castings, and components on the line.
- Downtime & Waste Reduction: Identify production bottlenecks, minimize material wastage, and coordinate with the maintenance team for quick resolution of machine breakdowns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to address and rectify non-conformances (NCRs) and implement corrective actions on the floor.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production logs, shift reports, efficiency metrics, and operator attendance records.

- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings, tolerances, and process sheets accurately.
- Machining Knowledge: Basic understanding of CNC/VMC machine operations, tooling, and general conventional machining processes.
- Problem-Solving & Efficiency: Familiarity with 5S principles, lean manufacturing concepts, or basic root-cause analysis to reduce cycle times.
- Multilingual Communication: Ability to comfortably communicate technical instructions to shop-floor workers in Gujarati/Hindi, and report to management in English.
