Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and expanding healthcare services or products. The role involves working closely with healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives and strengthen the organization's market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, corporate organizations, and healthcare institutions.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers, key decision-makers, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and clinical teams to develop customized solutions for clients.
- Manage the complete business development lifecycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
- Monitor business performance and prepare regular reports on revenue, pipeline, and growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and trade exhibitions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and ethical business practices.
- Support the launch of new healthcare services, products, and expansion initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and monitor key business metrics.
Required Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing, Healthcare Management, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in healthcare business development, sales, or account management.
- Experience working with hospitals, healthcare providers, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or healthcare technology organizations is an advantage.
