Plant Quality & Food Safety Technician

Main Purpose of Job:
The actions of the Plant Quality & Food Safety Technicians directly impact site performance, their role is essential for brand protection and to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely completion of laboratory checks ensuring compliance to the Quality Plan and to Coca Cola standards.
- To Set Up and participate in sensory panels as per quality plan.
- To effectively manage non-conforming product – including detention, root cause analysis, corrective action planning and timely release, with effective communication to Production & Quality/Food Safety Leads.
- To investigate Consumer/Customer Complaints in a timely manner, engaging with cross functional team, identifying root causes and potential trends, with corrective action plans to drive improvement.
- To effectively communicate line / area performance driving right first-time culture.
- To complete metrology checks in-line with plant calibration programme
- Active involvement in company programmes.
- To support line trials and validations.
- To contribute to the development of the Coca Cola Quality System.
- To conduct Quality, Food Safety & Health & Safety audits as per schedule
- To complete other tasks as per business requirements.

Essential Criteria
-
3 years relevant experience OR recognised relevant 3rd level qualification

Effective Communication, problem solving and influencing skills.

Ability to work company “4 Shift Pattern”
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience of Quality Role within food/drink or pharma industry.
- Experience of working in a chemical laboratory – including HPLC analysis.
- Statistical Process Control Trained.
- Certificate / Diploma in Packaging through the Institute of Packaging.
- Auditing Qualification.
- HACCP Qualification.
